PAINT YOUR OWN POTTERY - FUN FOR EVERYONE! Color Me Mine is a fun, fresh idea that appeals to everyone. Whether you want to create your own gifts, are looking for a unique party idea or just want to escape the stress of modern living, step into Color Me Mine. Relaxation and fun await you!
Finished pottery pieces by previous customers and staff members populate the room, giving you a sense of possibilities. With over 400 different unfinished ceramic pieces (and approximately 100 styles added per year) there are plenty of items to choose from. Every thing is food-safe, microwave and dishwasher safe, our glaze and colors are non-toxic and lead-free. Colors easily wash out of clothes with water and do not stain.
Spring Chicks Painting Contest Anxious for Spring? We sure are, and we thought it would be fun to have a painting contest! We have some great prizes, and you can enter any piece that you paint. Vases, Easter items, Gardening, Mothers Day, Shamrocks - anything you like! Snowman Cookie Jar? Sure, we have snow in spring here. Kitty Cat? Yep, cats like spring! Really, whatever you want to paint.
And here is the fun part - YOU vote! Yes, all of our customers, and their family and friends will be voting for their favorite pieces. How? On facebook! Here's how it works...Simply paint any piece you wish, and let us know that you would like it entered in the contest. When it comes out of the kiln, we will take a picture of it, and put it on our facebook fan page. Any of our fans can vote for the pieces by adding a "like" to that picture. At midnight on Easter, the pieces with the most "likes" win! Be sure to tell your friends and family to become a fan, and vote!

So how does our studio work? There is a Studio Fee of $6 for kids 12 and under, and $10 for adults. This covers all of your paint, use of design cetner tools, and glazing and firing (this part we do for you). No reservations are required.
The ceramic pieces that you pick to paint are additional, and range from $4 on up, with most pieces being in the $10-$30 range.
All items are food safe, dishwasher and microwave safe, but like any dishes, they will last longer if handwashed.
Your masterpices will be ready in 4-5 days for you to pick up and enjoy. This gives us the time needed to let your paint fully dry, then we glaze them which needs to dry for another day, then they go in our kilns which fire at 1800*F for about 18 hours, then they need time to cool down slowly. So your artwork really is one of a kind, and hand made!
